Alan Krueger, noted economist who served Obama, has died

Alan Krueger, 58, a Princeton economist who served as a top adviser in two Democratic administrations, has died after taking his own life, his family said on Monday.

“It is with tremendous sadness we share that Professor Alan B. Krueger, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and Princeton professor of economics took his own life over the weekend,’ a statement from his family reads.”
