NEVADA CITY, Calif. February 17, 2017 – Nevada City Police Chief Tim Foley resigned late Friday, effective immediately. He resigned for personal reasons. Council Member Evans Phelps stated the city will appoint an Interim Chief at an upcoming council meeting and begin the recruitment process for a new Chief immediately.
